My name is Assem, pronounced as awesome as my journey.

I am an interdisciplinary graduate researcher with 4+ years of research experience specialized in digital media and cinema. A multi-platform storyteller, filmmaker, actor and educator with broad experience in training/ education delivery and management. Over 15 years of professional experience coupled with a proven track record of accomplishments in areas of expertise.

I started performing at a very young age on stage and was involved in numerous plays, TV shows, writing competitions and radio broadcasts. Pursuing my creative passion, I've been involved in many forms of arts: Filmmaking tap dancing, body beats, salsa, tango, classical singing, experimental theatre, scene study, method acting, filmmaking, Meisner technique, standup comedy and improvisation. This involvement has lead to numerous outstanding performances and productions.

One of the most memorable steps in my journey was in 2011, when I received the Best Actor Award for my lead role in the 5 Awards winning short film "Paradise Falls" at the 48-hour film festival Dubai.

Another memorable step was in 2013, when I received Prix Meilleure Interpretation Masculine (Best Actor) for my lead role in "Tooth of Hope" at Les Nuits Méditerranéennes de Corté Film Festival in Corsica, France.

In 2017, I received Best Documentary Short, Best Editing, and Outstanding Performance awards for my directorial debut "T for Tango" from First Take Film Festival in Canada.

I'm the proud founder of Awesome Creative Productions and many successful creative initiatives in UAE.

It took many steps to reach where I am now, and many to come but I'm loving every second of it.

In summary, one of the closest description I received was by a yoga master (Yogi) who described me as an explosive creative energy with the healer power, so stay tuned for an artistic creative storm that is about to start.
